Kahnawą:ke Residency Law 30-Day Feedback Period concluded, first hearing taking place Wednesday05/11/2026The Kahnawą:ke Legislative Commission (KLC) wishes to advise the community that the 30-Day Feedback Period for the Kahnawą:ke Residency Law concluded on May 10, 2026. No feedback was received. The first hearing for the Kahnawą:ke Residency Law is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Legion Hall Upstairs from 5pm to 8pm. If the review of the proposed amendments is not completed, a future meeting date will be scheduled during the meeting. Interested community members on the Kanienkehį:ka of Kahnawą:ke Registry should pre-register their attendance by contacting Samantha Montour of OKKR at 450-638-0500 or by email at samantha.montour@mck.ca. If there are not at least 10 pre-registrants, the first hearing will be rescheduled. Walk-ins are welcome.
